Art Show in Aid of The Muir Maxwell Trust

New Works at Morningside Gallery, Edinburgh

       I have just finished two new larger pieces of work that are now showing at Morningside Gallery in Edinburgh.
'Sundown Poppies' is one of the largest pieces of framed work I have made in this medium and really
enjoyed working on a larger scale than normal. These two have been framed with a thick gold frame with cream slip.

Felt Painting Workshop on 10th May in Selkirk

On Sunday 10th May I am running an all day workshop at my studio in Selkirk.     The classes are small so booking is essential. I currently have two spaces available. If interested contact me for more details.

'Just Scottish Gallery' The Mound, Edinburgh

A collection of my recent 'Cakes & Teacups' work is currently being exhibited at Just Scottish Gallery, North Bank Street, The Mound, Edinburgh.  The exhibition runs until 20th May.

'Tea with Rose'

This is a new piece of work that I have just completed. The two images show it at different stages of the process. The first shows what a piece looks like as I am 'painting' it. The second shows it once it has been felted and embroidered.  I really like the effect before felting but unfortunately this part can only be photographed for prosperity.  At this stage it is very fragile and would not stay in place for long unless felted.

Visual Arts Scotland Annual Exhibition

 Venue - CITY ARTS CENTRE, Lawnmarket, Edinburgh

 I have had a piece of work accepted for the VAS exhibition.  This will be the first time I have had my work included in this show.
