Adrienne MacNeil

Adrienne graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1992 with a BA(Hons) in Ceramics.

She spends a lot of time in the Outer Hebrides with her family and is heavily influenced by the colours and textures of the seascapes and landscapes of the Isle of Barra.

Hand building with stoneware clay she perfects the form by turning and working the clay to create a smooth and finished piece. She then glazes by painting her designs, paying attention to where glazes overlap and create beautiful effects. This gives the impression of the ever changing seas and landscapes of the islands.

Adrienne lives in the Scottish Borders where she works from her garden studio with Luna, the pottery dog.
