Sandra Vick
Sandra Vick is a Scottish painter whose work explores the quiet dialogue between landscape, human presence, and the natural world. She lives in Penicuik, nestled between the Pentland Hills and the Borders Hills, where the shifting light, rolling hills, and traces of human activity continually shape her observations.
A former economist, Sandra retrained in art following her father’s death, inspired by his encouragement to pursue a life of passion and purpose. She studied at Leith School of Art and Edinburgh College of Art, where she was awarded a postgraduate scholarship.
While birds feature prominently in her homeware designs, her fine art practice is rooted in Scottish landscapes. Working in watercolour, acrylic, and oil, Sandra’s paintings combine careful observation with reflective interpretation, capturing both the physical form and the enduring spirit of the land. Her work has been exhibited widely across the UK and is held in public and private collections internationally.
