“My ceramics are inspired by landscapes and the changing seasons. This group of ceramics I have been exploring field margins and hedgerows, that provides a haven for insects, birds and small mammals as well as diverse flora. I develop these themes through sketch book work, painting and printing. This leads me to my painterly finish on the clay surface. I use the same layered, painted and print method on paper as well as clay. I enjoy the use of colour and texture that ceramics can achieve.”
