INTO THE GLEN
It was the old glass in the window with its wavy translucency that brought everything together. Through the window pane and into the beyond went I. Travelling through layers, thick and thin into the hills that knew me just as much as I knew them.
At dusk they were absolutely majestic. Not just now because of the violet depths, showing their rugged beauty, but every moment in time. Always the same, but timelessly different.
The track into town was before me as I came up to the house. The last light tapped the tops of flowers making them glow in surreal beauty. The field was the same. Irresistibly green. The pure green of nature’s thought.
In this moment you can feel that universal wavelength without ever having to be taught exactly what it is.
A bit further and I’m at the threshold. There is a calmness in me that seeps into every corner of my being and soul. It is so clear. Every colour is vibrant. There is a knowing that no one but me can describe. A wholeness, a comfort, a warmth.
I am where I should be. I am home.
