Felting the feeling and tone
Of how stones and muscle and bone Created a hearth and a home.
Now tinged by lichen and moss, Under skies often grey and storm tossed, The spirits of past folks are still there, Their bones with the earth they now share.
And the colours of sky and of land Are those that forever will span
The earth and the hearths that are home
